COVID-19 vaccination program

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) through the provincial government and the National Expanded Vaccination Program launched its COVID 19 Vaccination campaign in the Lualaba province on Saturday 22 May 2021.

This vaccination program will be administered at medical facilities selected by the provincial government of Lualaba. We are pleased to advise that the Watu Wetu Town Side clinic was selected to assist the government with administering these vaccinations.

There are strict protocols to be followed and a requirement to roll out the vaccination program in an orderly and systemic manner. Dr Marelize Sirgel commented “we are pleased to be involved in this key program which will provide assistance to a large number of people.

Dr Kazimoto is performing a key role in supporting this program and working closely with the relevant government officials”.

Dr Sirgel also commented that “it is pleasing to see our senior leaders avail themselves of the vaccine and last week we had the Managing Director, Clint Donkin, attend to receive his first vaccination”.
